Apps

Stroop Buddy, Vigilance Buddy, NBack Buddy, Trail Buddy, and Go/No-Go Buddy are designed to run entirely on your device. Test data (including reaction times and any identifiers you enter for participants) is stored locally on your device.

• We do not collect or transmit your test data, personal information, or any other sensitive user data from the apps to external servers.
• The apps do not require an account, and we do not assign you a user identifier.
• You decide if and when to export data as a .CSV file from the apps.
• You can delete the apps or their data at any time using your device settings; uninstalling an app removes all data that app stored on your device.

Website

The Research Buddies website is a simple informational site about the apps. It does not require you to create an account or submit personal information to browse the content.

Standard web server logs may collect basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and access times) for security and performance monitoring. This information is not linked to your app test data.

If you contact us through the website's contact form, the message you submit (including the name and email address you provide) is sent by email to Byrt so we can reply. We do not use this information for marketing and do not share it with third parties.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share data from the apps with any third parties. The apps do not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Data Retention

Data you create with the apps is retained on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. You can remove it at any time from within the app or by uninstalling the app. Contact emails sent to us are retained only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry.

Children

The apps and the website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the contact form, please contact us so we can remove it.

Security

Communication with the website is protected with HTTPS. Because app data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us, its security is governed by your device's own protections.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
